Can dogs eat kiwi?

Yes — in moderation. Kiwi flesh is safe for dogs and loaded with vitamin C and fiber. The fuzzy skin is not toxic but most dogs refuse it anyway, and the whole fruit is a choking shape for small breeds — always slice. Half a kiwi for a small dog or a whole one sliced for a large dog is a reasonable occasional portion.

Treats of any kind should stay under about 10% of daily calories. Introduce any new food slowly and watch for individual intolerances.

Small amounts are generally fine. Monitor for stomach upset over the next few hours and offer normal food and water.
